Sala delle verifiche
An exhibition area dedicated to temporary exhibitions, originally intended for control and verification activities for the collection of duties, at the time when Palazzo Chiaromonte was the seat of the customs.
History
The Sala delle Verifiche is located inside the Steri Monumental Complex and was originally intended for control and verification activities for the collection of duties in the historical period in which Palazzo Chiaromonte was the headquarters of the customs at the ancient port of Palermo.
Since June 2017, it has officially become a new multifunctional exhibition centre of the University of Palermo. The recovery project, drawn up by the technical services of the University of Palermo, has studied a solution that allows greater adaptability to exhibitions and events.
