Tropical Orchids
The greenhouse hosts a collection of approximately 400 tropical orchids, including epiphytes, lithophytes, and geophytes, in an environment with controlled humidity and temperature.
The setup aims to recreate a natural habitat to simulate the growth conditions of the plants in their native environment.
The collection includes both vigorous specimens and miniature varieties grown on cork rafts.
A second greenhouse is dedicated to the cultivation of Vanilla planifolia and large orchids with exuberant flowers, such as Ansellia africana, Laelia superbiens, and Oncidium sfacelatum. Of particular note is the historic collection of Cymbidium aloifolium.
