Over 3,000 Cactaceae donated to the Botanical Garden by the Caroggio family
Caroggio Collection
This greenhouse hosts a collection of approximately 3,000 Cactaceae specimens, donated to the Botanical Garden in 2023 by Alberto Caroggio and Rossano Morini, expert growers and founding members of the Savonese Succulent Enthusiasts Association.
Noteworthy for both the number of species and the size and age of individual specimens, the collection prominently features groups from the genera Astrophytum, Echinocereus, Mammillaria, and Thelocactus.
