Collection of Psychotechnical devices

History
The Collection includes about one hundred instruments from the 1950s used to measure psychophysical variables, memory processes, attention, reaction times and to record physiological processes. It also includes PARAVIA teaching models from the same period. The instruments come mainly from the ENPI Work Psychology Center, the Institute of Psychology of the University of Palermo, the Psychology department of the SUMP in Palermo and the Psychology Institutes of the Faculties of Education and Medicine. Prof. Giovanni Sprini began the inventory to recover and make accessible these instruments, witnesses of the birth of psychology in Italy in the post-war period. Today the Collection is catalogued and exhibited in the Department of Psychological, Pedagogical and Training Sciences.
