Le Vie dei Tesori Education: A scuola di bellezza (Learning Through Beauty)

From February through June 30, 2026, the INAF Palermo Astronomical Observatory is collaborating on the Le Vie dei Tesori Education project, created by the Fondazione Le Vie dei Tesori for schools of all levels.
Guided tours, meetings with astronomers, and interactive experiences make use of technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, holography, and educational robotics, led by the Observatory’s researchers in collaboration with educational facilitators and heritage experts from the Fondazione Le Vie dei Tesori.
The Museum of the Specola is part of the program, offering a unique journey through science and memory.
Housed in the Pisan Tower of the Royal Palace, the museum opens the doors of the history of astronomy to students through the initiative “Up There Where the Sky Meets History.”
From ancient telescopes and historical star maps to contemporary astrophysics, the visit guides participants on an extraordinary journey through the stars and across the centuries.
But it will not only be a journey into the past: the experience also looks to the present and the future. Through interactive workshops and educational activities, students will discover how the Sun, stars, and planets are studied today, experiencing science in a direct and engaging way.
