Sicilian flora and Mediterranean species
The Mediterranean Hill is a small mound that hosts some significant species of the spontaneous Sicilian flora, along with numerous endemic Mediterranean entities.
The collection includes 150 species belonging to approximately 70 genera and 40 families.
Of particular note is a monumental specimen of Pistacia lentiscus (Mastic tree).
Among the most expressive taxa are Centaurea panormitana subsp. todaroi, C. erycina, Dianthus gasparrinii, and Ptilostemon greuteri.
