On 4 and 5 October, Urban Nature returns, the WWF Italy initiative that celebrates the value of urban greenery in all Italian cities, involving local communities.

As part of the initiative, visitors will be able to take part in guided tours of the Botanical Garden of Palermo led by the Director of the Botanical Garden, Rosario Schicchi, and Curator Manlio Speciale.

Urban Nature 2025 is a widespread urban festival with many initiatives in regional and provincial capitals aimed at making the value of nature and the need to innovate the way we think about and plan urban spaces clear to those who live in Italian cities, including through the creation of opportunities to meet in public gardens and botanical gardens.

The aim of the WWF initiative is to raise awareness and educate everyone about the “nature” that lives in cities and its extraordinary importance for our well-being, health and safety.
